An in-depth look at the technology

Thomas works as a Technical Consultant on the control of electric drives at IAV. Together with various expert teams and institutes, he develops new technologies and intelligent control functions for electric drives of future hybrid and battery electric vehicles. As a Technical Consultant, he keeps his eyes and ears open for the latest research findings. This is how he injects vital momentum into our work at IAV.

Thomas studied Electrical Engineering with a focus on Drive Technology in Bremen. He then completed his PhD on the topic of the “Sensorless Control of Electric Drives” in Braunschweig and has been working at IAV in Gifhorn since 2013.
